Thank you for your interest in National-Louis University's Technology in Education program. Web 2.0, blogs and wiki's, Ning social sites, multimedia design, online resources, this is a very exciting time for educators interested in technology integration but the options for teachers can seem limitless. National-Louis University is here to help you learn more about using technology to support a 21st Century Education. National-Louis University's Technology in Education program works with educators at all levels to build technology skills and use educational technology tools effectively and efficiently in the classroom to support student achievement.
Programs
TIE has two program offerings to fit your needs. Students may choose to receive a Master’s degree (M.Ed.) or Certificate of Advanced Study (C.A.S.) in Technology in Education, and may also apply for an Illinois Type 10 certification as a Technology Specialist, if they possess a valid Illinois teaching certificate. Students have to complete the program and pass several state tests in order to be certified. The C.A.S. program is designed for individuals who have a master's degree and a teaching certificate and want to engage in continued graduate study that will add a technology dimension to their general education expertise.
Course Sequences
Educators are busy people and we understand that's why the TIE program offers Course Sequencing. Our course days and times are mapped out over the length of your program, allowing you to make appropriate plans from the beginning. Of course, students can take TIE courses individually, outside of a scheduled sequence.
